Questions about this service

When does my business need CFO advisory?

CFO advisory is useful when you need to connect the accounts to a decision: managing a cash shortfall, assessing hiring, planning expansion or preparing a funding conversation. BMD scopes the model, reporting cadence and management discussions around that decision, using the records and assumptions you provide.

How is cash-flow forecasting different from a profit report?

A profit report describes income and costs for a period; a cash-flow forecast focuses on when money is expected to enter and leave the business. For your forecast we agree the starting cash position, receipt and payment timing, and scenarios. Assumptions remain visible so you can update the plan as circumstances change.

Do I need a full-time CFO?

Usually not at first. Many growing businesses need CFO-level input for specific decisions, such as cash-flow planning, budgets, pricing or preparing for funding, rather than a full-time hire. CFO advisory can be scoped as a defined project or as recurring support that grows with the business.
